Miss Kansas 2026

Sophie Lewis was crowned Miss Kansas 2026 on June 6, 2026, and proudly serves as an ambassador for the Miss Kansas Organization. She will represent Kansas at the Miss America Competition while spending her year promoting scholarship, service, leadership and community impact across the state.

An honors graduate of the University of Kansas, Sophie earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry with a minor in business. She works in the biotechnology industry, helping expand access to biomarker blood testing for early lung cancer detection. Her passion for science and innovation is matched by her commitment to improving lives through education and advocacy.

Sophie's Community Service Initiative, inspires middle school girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Through classroom visits, mentorship and community outreach, she encourages young women to challenge stereotypes, build confidence and embrace their potential.

A classically trained vocalist, Sophie combines her love of music with a passion for public service. Throughout her journey in the Miss America Opportunity, Sophie has earned more than $16,000 in scholarships, helping support her educational goals and continued education.

As Miss Kansas 2026, Sophie is committed to serving communities across the state, empowering young women to pursue their dreams, advocating for advances in public health, and representing Kansas with integrity, purpose and heart.
