Why I should be Miss Kansas:
I would use this title to educate people about severe weather safety and inspire America’s youth to become involved in Miss America’s new partnership with Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM). I believe I am ready to step into the job of Miss Kansas 2012 and serve the state of Kansas and make a mark on this country.
Abilities that I posses important for the job of Miss Kansas are:
- Passion- I am passionate not only about weather safety, but also for CMNH and STEM the two partnerships of the Miss America organization.
- Communication and Learning- I consider myself an extrovert. I enjoy talking about my experiences and the stories of others. I am very interested in learning about all people and cultures. This is a key component to the job because as Miss Kansas, I will represent a diverse group of people.
- Perseverance- Miss Kansas’s year of service is a year of hard work. I enjoy a challenge and if I fail at something the first time, I try again and I never give up. I would apply this attribute as Miss Kansas 2012.
