Inspiration

As defined by Dictionary.com; Inspiration is the act of inspiring; quality or state of being inspired.

For some, inspiration comes from past experiences. For others it comes from goals that have been established for years. For me, inspiration was found in the form of a small boy. Braden is six years old. His fight against cancer has been long and difficult. Yet when I was blessed with the chance to meet him, his light and warmth depicted nothing of what he has and is going through. Seeing him play in the bubbles and delight in how the light reflected off of their soapy surfaces caused me to stop and think…

Life is a blessing. Every day and every moment is a gift from God. Braden grasps this. A small boy, who has undergone pain that many of us have never had to face, has the ability to laugh and enjoy the simple pleasures in life.

I cannot wait to continue working with the Children’s Miracle Network. It is the goal of this organization to supply hope. There is no better mission statement than one that is based on providing others happiness. The Children’s Miracle Network is also unique in how it raised awareness and funds for its work. Donors are able to supply support through financial aid, most of which is fed directly to the hospital nearest to their home. They are also able to give the gift of time in various walks and awareness activities. Through their gifts, cures are being worked upon to save the lives of children like Braden every day.

Whatever I may be able to donate in time and aide is nothing compared to what Braden gave me. He is my inspiration. Motivation for me to use every day the Lord gives me to better the life of someone else. And to never forget to take pleasure in the simple joys of life and every now and then, stop and play in the bubbles :)
