2012 Miss Kansas Pageant Week

This week has been jam packed with exciting events! I returned home on Sunday after a morning meeting with Lisa and Mandy. I am thrilled to have them in my life! That evening I relaxed with my family and enjoyed good ol' family time. Then the week started.

From bouncing around to Nebraska on Tuesday, to driving down to meet with sponsors in Wichita on Wednesday I am almost wishing the Army had a post further south in Kansas. It would simplify car rides oh so much more :) But I do have to say how thankful I am that God has blessed me with such an amazing mom who makes for a wonderful traveling companion. "How many cows do you have on your side??" "NO! That cemetery just killed all of my cows!" ( Huge shout out to the Coonrods for thinking of such a perfect Kansas game) Friday morning we headed off again to Topeka to meet with Governor Sam Brownback. Kansas is in great hands. Later on we met with various businesses here in Manhattan. Note to self- dark colored suites are a fashion statement best served in weather under 90 degrees. I am looking forward to traveling to Kansas City tomorrow to volunteer at the Hope Rocks charity benefit focused on raising awareness for childhood cancer.

Weekly Shout Out:   Mrs. Moiser for showing that a single kind word can go a long way. Your love and acceptance of everyone is inspiring and motivating. Your tea parties could rival even the best of Prince Edward Island. Thank you for your never ending support and patience. You touch so many lives :)
