Miss Kansas "Pins" Down Her State

As I tour this great state, my Aunt Susan wanted to find a way to document all of my various speaking engagements. After several ideas she finally decided on something brilliant that I thought would work.

Susan bought me a map of the state, a bulletin board and colored sewing pins. We mounted the board with the map and are using the colored pins to represent each event I attend. For example, each elementary school I speak to will have a red pin, middle schools a green pin, and so on. I have already started to fill the map and it’s looking great.
Oddly enough, while my aunt and I were working on the board, it came to our attention that there is a town in Kansas called Busby. A beautiful name but small town, my family has decided that before the year is over we will have to visit.

As my year progresses, I will continue to document all the places I visit. In June at the Miss Kansas 2004 Pageant, I will display the board for everyone to see. The board will show the commitment Miss Kansas makes to this state and its students. I’m excited!!
